Thanks to everyone involved for hosting a great event! I apologize that I had to leave early, as I really wasn't feeling very well and I didn't want to let that affect anyone around me at all. For the time that I was there though, I definately enjoyed myself and it was great to meet you guys in real life. You all seem like really cool guys and I felt that the tournaments and the event overall was organized well, and that the power issues that came up were addressed quickly. Although this is very understandable since this was the first time hosting it at aC's house.
The only thing is that it felt pretty cramped space-wise in my opinoin. I think a part of that was because I picked a not so great seat and should have realized where it was haha. If you guys plan to expand and add more attendees, it might be a good idea to consider renting a larger venue for a weekend. That's the direction that my group is also headed as we are thinking about expanding to 50 people eventually. We have been spoiled and have had a nice open office to host our event for the past few years, but we feel now its time to consider new options. Hopefully our groups stay in touch as I am still very interested in exploring the possibilities of joining forces to host an epic uber LAN 🙂
Lastly, as some already know. There is a 200 man LAN being hosted by FITES.net that is going to be held on Feb 25th – Feb. 27th. So far, two from my group are pre-paid and signed up for the event and we would love to have a group attend if possible so that we can sit together and its also a bit cheaper when you sign up as a group. Their events are always a great time, and definately worth the effort to go. I know that Tycho said that he and some others might not know until the week before or later, but please consider going with us if you think it might be possible 🙂
