What’s a “boiloff”?
A tournament in boiloff format is one in which we hold a series of rounds, and eliminate players each round until one champion remains. Eliminated players can still participate, but will place an “X” in front of their name to signify they have been eliminated. There will be one “bonus round” by which a player can re-enter play.

1st Place – 9 Marathon Points
2nd and 3rd Place – 6 Marathon Points
4th Place – 6th Place – 3 Marathon Points
7th place – 10th Place – 1 Marathon Point
How will the tournament be run?
Here’s the format we’re planning, which assumes 36 players:
Round 1: Battle Royale: Solo [All players are “in”]

Round 2: Zombie Headcrab Round! [32 players left]
- Map: Erangel

- First two eliminated players from last round = Humans
- Everyone else = Zombies
- Everyone lands in the same town
- First human eaten by the horde is our headcrab winner this year!

Round 3: War-Mode – Assault Rifles [32 players left]

- First to 120 or time limit of 600s

Round 9: Bonus Round – Death Race! [10 players left]

- Those still in = Form teams of 2 (player choice)
- Those eliminated = Form teams of 2 (player choice)
- All players have 5 minutes to find guns, ammo, and a car and move to the start line
- The team of those eliminated that makes it the furthest along the route, is “back in” the competition.
- If a team (eliminated or not) makes it across the finish line, you earn boiloff round immunity in the next round.
- 6 players play blockade runners. If someone doesn’t make it across the finish line, blockade runners earn immunity next round.
